Three months ago I launched my debut poetry collection, More than you were. Since then, somehow, I have signed and sold 100 copies. I still can’t believe it but I’ve checked my math again and again – it has happened.
More have been added to carts on Amazon or sold to bookshops, but I know now that my hands have held and signed 100 copies of my first collection. From shaking signatures on Waterstones’ tables to scrawling scribbles on rural bar stools, each signing and conversation held about writing/grief/fathers reminds me that I am so, so lucky to be a poet.
So, I would like to say THANK YOU to every single person who has already bought my collection. Thank you for taking a chance on me, thank you for remembering Dad, thank you for buying poetry, thank you for listening, talking, sharing and reading. I am forever grateful.
